The Minister of National Development Planning (PPN) or Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Suharso Monoarfa, targets Indonesia's logistics costs to fall to 9 percent of GDP by 2045.

Suharso conveyed this when giving a speech at the New Era of Logistics Costs for Golden Indonesia 2045, at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (14/9/2023).

"Hopefully we can achieve at least the 2045 target, logistics costs of 9 percent of GDP," said Suharso.

Suharso explained, based on the results of a logistics study conducted by Bappenas, domestic logistics costs currently reach 14.1 percent while export logistics costs are 8.98 percent.

"Currently there is no common definition regarding what is meant by logistics costs," said Suharso.

On this occasion, Suharso was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Acting Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti launched National Logistics Costs, a New Era of Logistics Costs for Golden Indonesia 2045.
